Bend & Central Oregon Mountain Biking is some of the best in the US. Bend is at the heart of Oregon's outdoor paradise, and the city is extremely mountain bike friendly. There are a wealth of trails in the area, many of which are excellent rides. The singletrack on the Bachelor-Sparks-Lava loop is fast and highly technical.
Of course, many cities in Oregon are nearby to some spectacular singletrack action. Don't forget about the Eugene & Oakridge Area, or Hood River & Mt. Hood Region Mountain Biking! Hood river is a bike mecca itself, right near the Washington State border.
